Wide Receiver Tidbits
1.) Since 1979, only seven wide receivers have had over 1,000 yards in receiving in their rookie years: Michael Clayton (TB, 2004), Anquan Boldin (ARI, 2003), Randy Moss (MIN, 1998), Terry Glenn (NE, 1996), Joey Galloway (SEA, 1995), Earnest Givens (HOU, 1986) and Billy Brooks (IND, 1986).
2.) In 2004, Mark Clayton (Ravens) had the most catches as a rookie (44). Reggie Brown was second with 43. The point here is that for some reason, rookie wide receivers don't have big years.
3.) In 2005, six wide receivers were drafted in the first round. The combined production of the six was 194 catches and 16 touchdowns.
4.) Randy Moss needs two receiving touchdowns to become the seventh player ever with 100 receiving touchdowns.
5.) Seven wide receivers were drafted in 2001 before Chad Johnson, and nine wide receivers were chosen before Chris Chambers in the same draft.
6.) Javon Walker, Chris Chambers and Randy Moss had the highest touchdown to reception ratios in the NFL in 2003.
7.) Terrell Owens has scored multiple touchdowns in a game 25 times in his career. When he scores multiple TDs in a game, his team's record is 20-5.
Maybe embedded in the middle?
Do bold/italics show up in titles now?
Without the " [ b ] " that is?
Apparently not, so why does this #msg-12626393 have a bolded title but w/o the ???
