Any one having issues with the app, please provide either a screenshot or the details of what your “Android version” and “Kernel version” is from Settings > About Phone. You can email it to help@advfn.com.
Any update on when we can expect an updated ihub android app? The opening and closing over and over again so I can read my favorite boards is extremely frustrating.
I am still having issues with my level 2 on my iPhone. Anyone else?
What's the problem today with the app on apple? Grr
iHub app on my Android stopped working yesterday 09.20.2016. Error message as follows: "Unfortunately, iHub has stopped". Anyone happen to know why it won't launch? I've un_installed and re_installed 3 times, but no luck. Thanks!
Today my stock monitor went to a single spaced list. Anyone know how to get the normal monitor back???
That must be beta software. IOS 9.3.5 claims to be the current version...
any idea when iOS10 for iPhone will be supported? Getting an SSL error now.
I get a "error loading page" last couple days when trying to hit the report tos tab on app. On iOS 9.3.3 iPhone 6s.
Never mind, it is working properly again. Weird.
Cannot read posts on Droid App...
Just started this morning. I can see the post list for each board, but when I select a particular post all that comes up is a blank screen. Have tried forced stop and restart of app, and uninstall / reinstall of app but no luck.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

I received an answer and here is the link in case anyone else needs it at some time or another.

For the last couple of days I am sometimes getting notifications on my iPhone when someone posts to me on IHUB.
It doesn't happen all of the time and I don't recall doing anything to make it happen.
I checked my settings on IHUB and I don't see anything for iPhones just mail and I have that set to "no".
Any ideas how to make this stop?
Messages dont show when opened. Have to force stop program and reopen. This issue has been ongoing for several weeks now. Also moderator operations not functioning.
also on iPhone 6 ios 9.2.0. also Ads are crashing ihub app again
Thanks

Is it by design that the board sticky notes and message list repeat after 25 regular messages?
That is correct.
I'm guessing the app update is still in the works as avatars still don't show correctly on the iPad app. They show in the message list but on the individual posts the avatar only flashes and is then replaced by the generic avatar.
Any idea how far off the update is?
Both issues. Users will need to reset their icon (as you noted), and there's a bug in the app (since we moved the images after the crash) that will be fixed on the next app update.
That's not just an Iphone issue. Apparently when the raid crashed last week the pointer to every avatar was lost. You only need to reset your profile image in your user profile and all will be well... or something...
Edit: Mine seems to have been partially fixed by the above. Still missing on actual post page but showing in board list and profile... Weird stuff...
Is there a reason why avatars quit showing up on iPhone app 2 days ago? Started off by a few missing in the boards to now none show.
iPhone 6s, iOS 9.3.2
Good morning, Dave:
Still awaiting followup regarding image and youtube embedding issues.
running v 2.98.1567
And this is curious. On iPad app, I still cannot see my embedded youtube vids but this video, just posted, did play, albeit without sound!!! (sound plays when viewed in browser...)
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=122442141
And I still cannot see Paulie's images although they appear to have been uploaded to iHub:

Thanks,

I have I hub version 2.87.1567 on iPhone and iPad. Both display stockcharts with no problems. The update to which I referred was to the Ihub site so it should work for all. Check with Rene at support if it doesn't work for you.
I still only see the update from 2.17.2016 in the App Store. Is there an update somewhere else? I think this is the version that is causing all embedded links to not show up. TIA!!
I registered the Mobile Access (Yearly), but now I'd like to cancel it. Could you guys tell me how I should do, please? Thanks.
An update was applied last week which fixed it for me. Give it a new shot.
Hey Dave:
Any update to the failure of the iOs app to display embedded images, youtube vids, and charts???
Doc
What about the other mobile app issues? Embedded charts still don't work.
Hey Guys,
If you are currently having issues with your mobile app. Please make sure that the exchanges agreement forms are signed and the New Address form are filled out. We have been receiving feedback that this is the cause. If you have any further questions please call us at 888-992-3836 FREE or email us at help@advfn.com.
Thanks,
Rene D
Any further update on the imbedded link issue in iOS or is it considered acceptable in the current state?
Success! I'm quite partial to the original view. There are a couple of ways to downgrade.
I have a computer that I hadn't used to back up and sync since the 2.98 update. I deleted the app from the phone, made a copy of the 2.91 .ipa file (for good measure) and opened iTunes.
Backed up and sync. Marked iHub to install in iTunes -> Apps. Synced again and voila... Back to 2.91 and the view that I like much better.
If you have updated iHub on your computer, you can drag the 2.91 .ipa file into iTunes. When it asks if you want to downgrade --> yes indeed.
Thanks,
G
If it works, you will need to post a write-up on how to restore from the app store...
Crap. For real you think it was an update? I'll restore and see...
Thanks,
G
Perhaps a trip in the "wayback machine". Looks like the improvements were made on the last update release...
Since the app is from Apple's servers, I see no way to return to a previous version unless Ihub initiates the change through Apple...
IMO some developer didn't follow Apple's software development guidelines...
Yeah, would love to know if we can do that.
Thanks, at least they could acknowledge the problem and try for a solution. Any way to downgrade the app?
Read back a few messages on this board. The real question is when will the issue be resolved and that's still a mystery...
any idea why imbedded images don't show up on the recent app update?
Hey Dave:
I upgraded to the latest iOS just about the same time my iPad automatically updated the latest version of iHub.
Take a look at my profile page. I get a placeholder square for the Dook Blue Devil logo linked by <img> from
http://content.sportslogos.net/logos/31/663/full/9872_duke_blue_devils-primary-1958.png
but I had uploaded to "my pictures" my signature image.
All of Paulie Cashews' cartoons are placeholders yet he has uploaded to an ihub server.

[I also get the placeholder on Dolphin, image on Safari]
Finally, no embedded youtube.
Doc
Update. Apparently it's from a change in iOS.
iOS does not allow mixing secure and plaintext content anymore unless we add exclusions.
This means that if a user posts an image in a post without a HTTPS link, the image will come up as ? box in our iOS App.
I will inquire to see if there's anything to be done about this.
Dear Dave,
I will follow up with them then.
Best,
Pete
I suspect the problem is that stockcharts.com is blocking the linked images since there is no referer. (The don't block links from the IHub website). Might want to ask them about it. Perhaps they can allow the images based on the app's agent string.
