"Our Competitors
Coatings removal within the ship maintenance and repair market and the above ground storage tank maintenance market is highly competitive. Significant competitive factors include the price of coatings removal equipment compared to contract services or other service arrangements, the cost-effectiveness of existing coatings removal methods, equipment performance, customer support, financial viability of the vendor and environmental/regulatory compliance. Additionally, since our robotic water-jetting system is an innovative and different method of coating removal, we must deal with the reluctance to change business methods common to most large businesses, including our potential water-jetting customers.
Our robotic water-jetting system faces competition from larger, better financed traditional grit blasting companies and from established companies that have developed water-jet based coating removal technologies which are different from our technology. Companies that manufacture and market competing technologies include: Flow International Corporation; Hammelmann Corp.; Jet Edge, a division of TC/America Monorail, Inc.; and NLB Corporation. These companies are larger and appear to have more financial strength and more established businesses."

Mickey Donn, President of Ecosphere Technologies and former 33-year veteran of the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department, stated, "Eximar will be an outstanding dealer for our products in Turkey and Cyprus. They have a significant need for filtering water for industrial, commercial, and military applications. Our filtration systems use the proven technology from our EPA tested and verified filtration system for a terrorist attack or natural disaster with the added ability to treat very high levels of contaminated salt water. This is the right piece of equipment to respond to these natural and man-made disasters."
Murat Akinci, President of Eximar, stated, "We are much exited about our new venture with Ecosphere Technologies. We strongly believe that Mobile Filtration Systems will be the solution not only for governments, but also for private sectors to satisfy their immediate and growing need for clean water. We consider Turkey and Cyprus to be a very strategic beginning point in the Middle East where the need for clean water is projected to double within the next 15 to 20 years."
Ecosphere's filtration systems are capable of filtering highly contaminated fresh or salt water into pure drinking water to comply with U.S. and World Health Organization standards. The innovative filtration systems can be used for both mobile and permanent installations. The Company's Tactical Water Filtration Truck (TWFT) integrates the 20-foot filtration unit into a six-wheel drive all-terrain vehicle manufactured by Pierce Manufacturing Inc. (a subsidiary of Oshkosh Truck Corporation, "OSK", NYSE). The Company recently signed a Joint Marketing and Supply Agreement with Pierce which will market the product through its well-established national sales force and international dealerships. USTP UltraStrip's Tactical Water Filtration Truck to Benefit City of Waveland
PR Newswire - March 14, 2006 7:30 AM (EDT)
STUART, Fla., March 14, 2006 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- UltraStrip Systems, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: USTP), the Stuart, Florida-based homeland security technology company, announced that it will donate one percent of the revenues it generates from the sale of its "Waveland" Model Tactical Water Filtration Truck to the City of Waveland, MS to assist in the rebuilding of that devastated community from Hurricane Katrina. The "Waveland" Model will be built by Ecosphere Technologies, Inc., a subsidiary of UltraStrip, and Pierce Manufacturing, Inc. through a Joint Marketing and Supply Agreement. The innovative design is based on Ecosphere's experience gained filtering water for the City of Waveland after Katrina. Waveland Mayor Tommy Longo asked Ecosphere to provide his community with clean water for drinking, bathing, cooking, and cleaning purposes as the City suffered catastrophic damage to its water supply system from Katrina's 40-foot waves and 150 mph winds. UltraStrip's Mobile Emergency Filtration System operated successfully for six weeks in Waveland until the community was able to rebuild its water supply system.

Mickey Donn, President of Ecosphere Technologies and former 33-year veteran of the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department, stated, "The City of Waveland needs a tremendous amount of help to recover from this tragic event and the Waveland Model Tactical Water Filtration Truck will enable us to continue assisting the people in that community. I experienced and worked through Hurricane Andrew, but Katrina was worse. Both hurricanes had Category 4 and 5 winds, but Katrina's 40-50 foot tidal wave destroyed everything that the winds didn't take down. Waveland was a very different and humbling experience. Until you are actually at the epicenter of a catastrophic event you really don't understand the dynamics of getting clean, potable water to the survivors and the people trying to rebuild the community. The Waveland series filtration units use the proven technology from our EPA tested and verified filtration system for a terrorist attack with the added ability to treat very high levels of contaminated salt water. This is the right piece of equipment to respond to these natural and man-made disasters."
Waveland Mayor Tommy Longo said, "It was a very bright point in an otherwise dismal day when Ecosphere came to town with the water purification system. For the first time since Katrina's landfall we had a dependable source of drinking water. The system was also used to set up public shower facilities, which really lifted spirits in the community. We were fighting for our lives and weren't certain where the next truck of certified water was coming from. The water purification system was a comfort to us all."
Jeff Krauskopf, a current Commissioner and former Mayor of Stuart, Florida, stated, "As the Mayor of a small town, Stuart, Florida, you never think it will happen to you, but it did with Frances, Ivan, Jeanne and Wilma. Four hurricanes in 14 months and we were the lucky ones. The folks in Waveland, Mississippi experienced more devastation in Hurricane Katrina than we did in all four. While the city was still shell shocked, Ecosphere recognized the need and immediately stepped in to deliver clean water through their revolutionary mobile filtration system. More impressive than the technology was the focused response from the Ecosphere professionals to be there when Waveland needed them. After being in Waveland and seeing these accomplishments, I can rest easy knowing Ecosphere is the City of Stuart's designated emergency provider."
Dennis McGuire, President and CEO of UltraStrip Systems, stated, "The Waveland Tactical Water Filtration Truck was designed to fill a void in the marketplace that our Company realized after our experience in Waveland. Victims of a disaster or troops in the military need our rugged, all-wheel drive integrated filtration truck to be able to supply them a reliable source of drinking water no matter how difficult the circumstances are."
The new "Waveland" model is capable of filtering highly contaminated fresh or salt water into pure drinking water to comply with U.S. and World Health Organization standards. The innovative 20' Waveland model filtration system will be used for both mobile and permanent installations. The first Waveland filtration unit will be integrated into a six-wheel drive all-terrain vehicle manufactured by Pierce Manufacturing and called a Tactical Water Filtration Truck (TWFT). The TWFT was designed to service Pierce's customers in the Homeland Security, disaster relief, and military markets.
On December 5, 2005, the Company signed a Joint Marketing and Supply Agreement with Pierce Manufacturing, Inc. (a subsidiary of Oshkosh Truck Corporation, "OSK", NYSE). Pierce will assemble the Company's mobile filtration units into the Pierce truck chassis and body to produce the Tactical Water Filtration Truck and will market the product through its well- established national sales force and international dealerships.
