In re: Libor-Based Financial Instruments Antitrust Litigation: Exhibit A
so then why remove it in the first place. etrade did this to me a yr or so ago on another long time hold. why now i asked? no resonable answer was given. i have many numbered stocks and occassionally i sell the shell or they come back to life as someone else put their company into the dead shell. i told them in no uncertain terms that they are costing me money. can i trust them? i dont think so. i demanded certificates for the shares in 7 accts. they said no transfer agent holds corus. so that is now etrades problem, as i intrusted them to them. i could have purchased direct and gotten a pink legend on the certificate. ive done that many times in the past.....yes a hassle, and now they want a mint for the cert and to erase the pink legend after a yr, costs also.
Me too - they did say if anything is coming back they will be able to track the account holder.
etrade sent letter is going to take numbered cor shares away and out of accts and toss them.
MOST payouts due are coming after the rv, it is said
I keep up with a few bankruptcy cases from around the same time period, including United Western Bankcorp and Washington Mutual. It seems that the current LIBOR litigation may be the cork in the bottle. Once that is finished (maybe two years), then these bankruptcy cases can closed and any payouts, if any, can be made.
No posts in over a year, anyone one still checking in? No word on any changes, interested in hearing other views or info.
imatt all my shares sit securely within my acct. awaiting the big surprise. let it happen.
Good to hear from you to my friend. Even though it's a couple years later.
I had one of the "strangest" experiences 2 weeks ago. I had never even heard of the movie Inside Man.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inside_Man
It's a movie that was released in 2006 and is ultimately about a bank heist but it's nothing to do with stealing cash but rather about exposing a hidden truth that occurred. It roots on a bank that was founded by a man who has a hidden secret and for some reason the bank robber knows about it and even the safety deposit box, of which no record exists, which has the details of this secret.
You almost have to watch the movie several times to get the fundamental jist of what the author Russell Gewirtz is trying to say. I'm still piecing it together. For some reason, that movie, gave me a renewed hope on Corus Bankshares, there's just something really unusual about this bank. We don't know what it is but I just have this feeling that this is the true "diamond" the "ruby" the world has been looking for and we're all going to be a part of it. My shares are still all in my account with zero value, but like i've said in the past. Resurrection is His specialty.
NOW wouldnt that be nice
that is exactly why i hold on to all my shares of dead soldiers....they come back to fight again
With the hype of all these new custodian plays in the markets I wonder if at some point corsq could be taken over. Great share structure . Would make things interesting.
i took the loss yrs ago for tax purposes...
i kept the shares in place. you can do that. base goes to zero. dont have to have brokers remove them. demand to keep them there.
The note I got said the DTC will no longer transfer shares, but if I wanted to remove them I would need to have them declared a worthless security and removed from my account. Probably pay a $25 transaction fee or something like that. Does the corporate shell exist? If so, I will hang on. Just another dried turd on my shelf. Its ok where it is.
etrade said they were going to remove my shares
from my accts as sec told them to do so. i told them NO. i wanted them to stay put, as even if dead, they have sold many a dead shell to a new company and received a new start. they sent back eventually that all shares will stay put.
etrade wants to confiscate our shares.....
using sec as cover
oh yea, got lots of corus in etrade & elsewhere
...where ya at imatt?
My markers are still in my Fidelity account - I don't know if there are any seized assets held by the FDIC that we can still trace.
Anyone still checking in here? Is there new info or still old and cold?
imatt, good to hear you answer my question....
i asked it last june. lol. so, imatt, can you define ''soon'' for me. lol. ''im a believer , i couldnt leave her, if i tried''.......but, ild love it to be tomorrow. good to hear from you. tell me all you know and when you learned it and who do we have to beat up to get more information?
GOT CORSQ? to da moon, man, da moon
SOON, MY FRIEND, SOON
Nothing posted in 7 months, quite a while. Decided I would break the silence. Still holding, what else can I do. Still surprised they could reorganize without the old (now cold) shareholders. They had over 30 million in cash, could have paid us all off. Anything new out there?
Can you provide a link?, I can't seem to find any news about that.
Do you think a bank or a financier can buy a shell?
Corus reorganized without the old common share holders. We need someone who wants go buy a shell. Corus was still profitable at the time of reorganization but the monies never trickled down.
That is interesting - I tried the same thing with Trans World Airlines but it didn't work.
A few days ago, surfing the internet, I found this site where corus shares Bankshares Inc. They are listed. Why? I point that I'm in Italy and I discovered the above website with the search engine Google, typing "quote corus babnkshares".

LMAO.....I suppose its possible but, after this long highly doubtful.
Let It Be, let it be, let it be...
Still believing for the miracle.
I believe this situation is different from any other. I forget the name of the poster who posted a similar posting as to why he got into Cors, but he basically said he felt God led him into it for some unknown reason. All I can say is His ways and thoughts are higher than ours and based on that I hope and know He's working something out behind the scene that is somehow going to bring value to our old equity shares. I have a feeling it is soon, being the 7th year since our bankruptcy. God for some reason has the number 7 as a special #. Let's see what unfolds.
Thank Imatt, but in my life I have never had any luck. Thanks anyway for making me dream with your optimism. Good luck.
Have faith my friend, have faith.
Two days ago I sent an email to one of the current leaders of corevest financial corporations, at keith.crow@kirkland.com. This is the answer that sent me:
"The common stock of Corus Bankshares was canceled several years ago When That company Emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Please consult your personal legal counsel or financial advisor if you have Further questions".
I'm afraid that the dream is over for good. Good luck to all.
MasterBlastr
Good to hear. I still have my paper work from Scottrade when they considered my Stock worthless. I can wait.
Take Care
David
I still have a marker in my account so we have not reached the final end yet.
Hello friends , it is more than a year since by more in this forum . There is news that the original shareholders of Corus Bankshares ? I , now , I resigned myself to the total loss of what I invested , which is why , I would like someone to answer me truthfully , even if the truth could be unpleasant . Thank you
i needed that
Yes, we all know it's been a long time since there was any information or data on our Corus shares, but the dream is alive and still going strong. Believing for a miracle at this point which is really just a dream somewhat laced with God's touch. That touch has no limitations.
''this one'' if at first you dont succeed
...i didnt get a response from any of my emails. and if it went out in november....well, they would know who is who.
imatt my head is getting dizzy, i cant think, give me a hand
Yeah, I think we lost out on this one.
Likely that the insiders will profit off this, but not any of us shareholders.
Can see that they merged another entity (Capital Growth) into Corevest which is made up of the same board that was originally Corus. I'm sure there's some shuffling of assets.

Search: COREVEST FINANCIAL CORPORATION
THIS AMENDMENT RECORD INDICATES THE MERGER INVOLVING THE FOLLOWING ENTITIES: SURVIVOR: (D14357289) COREVEST FINANCIAL CORPORATION. MERGED ENTITIES: (D16215014) CAPITAL GROWTH INVESTMENTS, INC.
Or you can search by the ID number to see Cap Growth's articles of incorp.
You guys still holding on to the dream? Seems very unlikely anything will ever come of this.
i wrote to all the email address' inside
the notice and to date have received only one response. that one was that the person would be out of the office till the 16th of march. the rest did not respond
Very interesting, but I don't understand it. Would love to be a part of that redemption.
Saw this the other night, a news item from Nov 2015, calling all Corus bonds I think...can anyone lookup the Cusip numbers?
