Well, when savvy individuals see inexperienced investors touting something totally/obviously fabricated, it is a huge turn off in terms of whether they want to buy a stock. If a stock is priced artificially high because a bunch of goons have been spreading rumors that are clearly baseless, "smart" money will want nothing to do with that stock. I know this for certain.

It's speculation at this point. Unless we see an NQ filed with their new holdings, there is no reason to assume they are buying.
