you're right, it is very goofy, but you know what? it isn't goofier than 90% of the "TA" posted on the various boards.

is believing AG is the wizard behind the curtain any nuttier than believing astrological dates have anything to do with the today's trading? nuttier than believing an unfilled gap from 18 years ago on an index that doesn't even exist anymore has anything to do with today's trading?

at the end of the day, what he saw was momentum to the upside, and he stepped aside. however goofy his reason, the instinct was good. how good his instincts are over the long term, i have no idea, but right now, they're working for him.

but yeah, it is goofy. -g-

"for someone who's been trading as long as you, that's just plain GOOFY"

can you second that? :))

Alex...

Believe what you want - I am not trying to convince you at all. I do stand by what I have said here, and it is based on that experience in the markets that you refer to.

All I can say is that it has been working for me, and provided me with insight on what the markets have been and are doing - and so far, it has enabled me to have some insight into what they will do over the very short term and made a lot of difference in my trading. That is all that matters to me.

I would point out that virtually all charting, technical systems, indicators, and e-wave counts have failed miserably in this market rally, leaving folks talking to themselves trying to come up with explanations for what the market is doing.

Like I said yesterday, no one is willing to admit seeing the elephant in the room, but that is ok. Believe what you want, and I will do the same. Each of us should always do what works best for ourselves and pay no attention to what others here say, including me. I am just stating what I am seeing.
