E*Trade will automatically convert dollars for you.

During the purchase, US dollars are converted to Canadian, but doesn't the 1% wash out when Canadian is converted back to US during the sale?

Plus, I would not be surprised if Tweed opens with a US Stock Ticker also. It would be something like TWDDF (The fifth character of the ticker would be "F", which stands for Foreign stock)... that would be most preferable!
