Son of a bitch, Scottrade. Yesterday they said: "Oh yeah, no problem, just give us a call and we'll place the order over the phone."
So today I sold off some shares of another investment to get in on the dip, called the guy at Scottrade, and he said, "Oh, sorry. Yeah, it's considered an illiquid stock so... yeah... sorry. We wouldn't want our investors to get stuck with it."
Riiight. Good ol' Scottrade, always keepin' an eye out for our best interests, eh?
I'm switching to someone else. I wish I would have known this PRIOR to selling off shares of my other investment.
Thanks, Scottrade! You really saved me from buying a bad stock that I'd get "stuck" with!
