Welcome devicerep888!!! We look forward to your input in the future.
Two points that I believe touch on your post...
1) John Hargrove's background fits nicely into this important niche...here is a small section of the PR from 2010 when he joined the board
"Following Johnson & Johnson, Mr. Hargrove joined Ohmeda Inc. as President, Corporate Account Management. While at Ohmeda, he successfully developed and implemented a multi-divisional corporate sales program, resulting in multi-year contracts with the majority of the largest Group Purchasing Organizations in the United States. Under Mr. Hargrove’s supervision, Ohmeda’s Corporate Account Division assisted buying groups, hospitals and integrated delivery networks in overall business and strategic planning and helped numerous customers who were under pressure to measure quality healthcare according to business as well as clinical and safety outcomes. Mr. Hargrove’s trusted partners included major health care decision-makers who needed professional expert advice in evaluating not just product price, but the overall cost of an “episode of care” such as a perioperative procedure (from pre-operative care to recovery)."
2) Titan developed a partnership with OpX Consulting for the purpose your describe. Part of that PR is below...
"TORONTO, ONTARIO–(Marketwired – June 13, 2013) - Titan Medical Inc. (“Titan” or the “Company”) (TSX VENTURE:TMD)(OTCQX:TITXF) announced today that effective June 1, 2013 it has entered into an agreement with OpX Consulting, LLC (“OpX”). As part of Titan’s commercialization plan, OpX will provide strategic consulting services to hospitals and Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) as it relates to the implementation and optimization of robotic surgery programs.
John Hargrove, Interim Chief Executive Officer of Titan Medical Inc., commented, “This business relationship will enhance our expansion into the global marketplace by creating a pathway between our technology foundation and successful commercialization.”
