Yes, and the Meatpacking District is within shouting distance of Google's incredibly large NYC office building - in the old Port Authority building for you history buffs. And don't forget downtown Brooklyn, which is also becoming a large high tech center in its own right, with NYU Polytech, many high tech offices in DUMBO, and four other colleges within about 6 blocks of each other.
