The terse announcement leaves a lot to the imagination. I agree with Kingpindg that Dr Millhiem's Atlantis offshore most likely won over the JMC.

Even though the technology seems logical and has under gone years of testing,it appears First Atlantic has never developed an oil field before.

Details like financing, partners, the role of Dangote and Addax, arrangements for a support ships, FSPO, will all be released in the near future. I was going to say fortnight, but if they are really producing oil in a 18 months they will have to get cracking.

The most interesting and insightful detail will be the financing.
