See at my house that would get us all killed IMO, I sleep hard, but remain very aware of my surroundings at all times and my gun is always about right in my hand. So sneaking into my house or even barging right in would result in a hail of gunfire on my part while I was reaching for a bigger gun!
It's not even that I'm some kind of prepper gun nut, it's just that I have a wife and a 2 1/2 year old boy that are my life and they're mine to protect so I take that responsibility seriously.
