Are you talking about Dewey, near Mayer Az ?
If so, Dewey is hundreds of miles away from the Gncp, (Rt 93) site..
I've mined in the area near Dewey, & further N W into Prescott, Az.
Gncp's site area is roughy 45mi, north of Kingman, Az,
on Rt 93, heading north towards Vegas...

Sorry, but someone is pulling your leg. There is no documented recovery of platinum from any Arizona mine, other than trace amounts reported by the refinery. Take that rock you're looking at and put it on a shelf, no doubt it is pretty with all those greens and blues.

And that slag pile in Jerome? Even the scammers running that operation (SRCH) are not claiming there is any platinum. Only gold and some base metals (copper, etc.). They've been running that scam for 8 years now, and have produced not a single ounce of gold. But they keep making promises......

Yup, the Arizona hills are full of shysters and con-men, some of whom hail from S. Africa.

Not in commercial quantities. Historically, the only SW pt production is under 500 ounces, from the Moapa, Nv area. Stillwater's Montana mine is the only pge producer in the cont US.
