the problem with the authorization of more shares is that it will be perceived as dilution and could cause another massacre.

Another buying opportunity for those of us who actually know what is going on with this company. If you're underwater here, this is a great opportunity to lower your average pps. The company is the strongest it ever has been, and if you don't understand the significance of the A/S proposed increase and what this truly means for the company, then sell and move on. DD longs know what's up, and have been and will be buying at these opportunities. If it touched .97 once, it will again.
