mick: Senator McCarthy was a HERO in my books. I'd contribute to the statue. They used his alcoholism to take him down. He had no support. Hollywood WAS and probably still is riddled with Commies.
The Commie controlled media, including television, controlled people's views about McCarthy. They mocked and vilified him. Remember the expression about people "looking for a Commie under every bed"?
