The government appears to be playing the stall and deny but my question is, how long can they truly afford to use this technique? Forgetting the mid term elections and moving I to 2016. It's my view that the govt will want to have some type of win for the campaign trail. Any reasonable settlement agreement would leave the the democrats with a hefty sum of bragging dollars. I wouldn't think the dems would care to wait until after the elections, risking a republican win and in turn better standing in public opinion. The smart play for the govt I suppose is to drag this out until either forced to comply or shortly before the presidential election. Jmo.
