Kingu maybe right. Ackman, for all we know, may have been the one that precipitated the sell-off... best to wait till the fog clears on this.

What ever kingu has mention looks legitimate in companies which making losses or which filed bankruptcy like PPMIQ in the recent past. I think In PPMIQ the company has given some value for the shares of the investors who bought it at higher prices where as the investors who bought at cheap had got nothing. That is because in that situation the company had made losses and not able to compensate every one. But here in FNMA & FMCC the situation is different . These companies making huge profits and
are in a situation to compensate every investor, irrespective of when they bought, if they want. Just IMO .
