The BB patent application, being publicly accessible, holds no trade secrets anymore, e.g., content of specification and content of claims and prosecution as far as it goes. BP and BBiotech have access already, and may already be attempting to design around it. I have yet to look at above materials myself, inasmuch as I have had other patent matters on my plate requiring urgent attention.
That being the case, why not copy and paste the above, and place the product here so everybody, literate or illiterate in the wiles of practices and procedures of the PTO, may indulge in all kinds of further speculation to their hearts content(sarcasm intended). I would copy and paste the above myself, but I do not know how to do so from an IPad.
Perhaps the above copy and paste is so long as to become unwieldy---in that case, a link to the application number coupled with a link to the appropriate PTO Pair cite might suffice.
A final caution to non-patent attorneys here. Please do not bless the world with uninformed speculation concerning practices and procedures of the PTO--the regulations of the PTO require patent prosecution to be documented in writing.
