The old school business practice in the medical marijuana world was to open a non profit business to run a dispensary under
And people who grow weed, like myself, can "donate their extra" or "donate the weed grown over ones prescription level"
So a weed grower "donated " the extra to a non profit for medical help
And the non profit gives th weed grower a monetary "donation" for that
All that is , is old school now merging with new school..recreational, which obviously wont be about non profit anything. And truly the medical scene had plenty to do with profits... but like I say, its just old school wishy washy grey area business practice to open a collective as a non profit.
