You might want to research 'Orion Mining Investments' and find out who some of the investors are. With New Mexico pushing big time to get the Tesla battery factory....Nevada needs to up it's game. The Southwest states in this Tesla lottery are claiming that their geography lends itself to 'solar' energy to run the factory. Well in reality, in Nevada'a defense. The 'solar' potential is about equal in Nevada and they also have more 'wind' potential in the mountains.
Given everything I have read and heard about Tesla and their long term plans for this factory it would seem there is only one place that satisfies all of it's needs...natural energy...no taxes....workforce....trade free zone...and the ability to test new vehicle technology on public roads...in ADDITION to something that neither New Mexico or Arizona have is a lithium deposit in the state 20 miles from the proposed factory location.
Maybe I am missing something here...but I don't think so :)
