re: Lil Sam doing well? When my lil guy was born his heart would stop beating so we had to put this EKG like things around his chest to monitor him while he slept. Stupid thing would always give false alarms. those were fun times :)
Those really must have been fun times. I can only imagine. Good to be past that!
Sam is great. Knock on wood, no problems thus far.
It doesnt really compare with what you went through, but your story reminds me of when we had our 2nd son. A nurse was reading us the discharge papers and started talking about what to do if he stopped breathing. As she did, I was confused, thinking, I sure don't remember any directions like that with our first son.
I guess she saw our confused faces and said, oh didnt they tell you he stopped breathing a couple of times during the night while they had him in the nurses station? um no. said he started breathing again and everything, but watch for it. ummm does that mean i have to stay up all night watching him sleep? luckily it was a non event. never had problems (that i know of), but sure was a crazy couple days.
