not a expert, but it makes the shares unavailable to the MMs, I think. Either way it is a good practice to lock them up on long plays like this. I moved my sell order up all day from .018 to .038 ( highest Scottrade would let me go)
Literally lock the float makes the pps climb as the shorts get stuck.
help me out guys..

If people put their sell orders above .05 there would be fewer shares available for purchase under .05. Thin ask + high volume buying= pps moves up faster.

It doesn't. Just a stupid idea someone came up with once to get people not to sell before a certain price. But as soon as the pps starts dropping, people still bail.
