The DJ Motion may be moot because the records were never sealed, but there is still the question of the original Protective Order. It was not amended or removed as far as I can tell from what has been posted. As Rambus stated in its Motion to the FTC regarding the records:

While Rambus cannot, under the current terms of the Protective Order in
the San Francisco case, discuss the specific contents of any of the evidence produced by
Micron and Hynix in that case...

So, it seems premature to say for certain Rambus can disclose these documents to any other party, including the press or the FTC.

Just my opinion.
