TA looks backward? It does only in the sense to predict forward. TA is a tool. It isn' t perfect for sure.

If you saw the chart for Fri you would see it was setting up for a spike---untill news hit.

At best TA will give you an edge,another guide on when to but and when to sell.

If you are satisfied with your trading style and need no edge then I suggest you ignore it. But since many do follow it and go into a stock based on it and out of a stock based on it it is in a way a self fullfilling prophecy s0 why not take advantage of it?

You are mixing TA with news. As I said news will always trump TA.
