From one of the interviews the CEO mentioned previous successful business ventures that were used as start up capital here. If he is going to expand on the east and west coast and already has in Denver he should have Purchase Order in hand already but wont get paid until delivery of product. I'm no business man but cash burn is a pretty real thing when you start up. They are financing, it will take a little time to get recoup the investment.

I agree this thing could be ripe for a buy out. There are a large number of equipment manufacturers in the world that might be interested in this sector...

Equity Funding Is a Loan but is backed bt securities (stock)

Equity financing involves not just the sale of common equity, but also the sale of other equity or quasi-equity instruments such as preferred stock, convertible preferred stock and equity units that include common shares and warrants.

A startup that grows into a successful company will have several rounds of equity financing as it evolves. Since a startup typically attracts different types of investors at various stages of its evolution, it may use different equity instruments for its financing needs.
