oh let me tell you, for years, i had only ONE semi auto, and it had the safety thingy. then i got this one, and another brand (which i carry), that is just pull, like a revolver, and it goes.

it took me a while to get used to that, but dont pull it unless you are ready. its simple.

after many years as a police officer and keeping up with them on our 50 yard shooting range (that the hubby and i built ourselves last summer), i think we are as safe as we can be.

What I meant to say is the SD9VE has Trigger Only safety.
Not saying in anyway that you are not a safe shooter. I am sure you will do just fine with your gun.
