I'm new to this board but a long time Titan holder. As a general/bariatric surgeon, I'm excited about this new product, as are a lot people in my field. Just my two cents.... Keep in mind that ISRG tried to sell to the big boys (J&J, Siemens, GE) once they developed Davinci, but no one bought them because they didn't think robotic surgery would take off. Turns out that was the best thing that ever happened to ISRG. Look at their stock. I don't think this will happen here. I doubt the big companies will let this slide by without scooping it up. Especially with the connections the current CEO has to J&J. Also, I think the small size of the SPORT system, which allows it to move easily from room to room, along with it being much cheaper to purchase, gives community hospitals the ability to purchase and use it. It will also allow them to market themselves as having the "latest and greatest" in minimally invasive robotic surgery. Assuming this passes human trial. Im bullish! Good luck!
