ya, why carry a gun if you first have to rack a round. that gives the bad guy that much more time to get you first.

I like the XD and XDM because they have the trigger safety and palm safety. I don't like the single safety that the glock has for having one in the tube all the time. The trigger only safety could be set off in the holster if the leather creeps in toward the trigger. The slide safety could cost you your life in a panic situation. So for me I never carry a gun with the slide safety concealed. The combination of trigger and palm safety is my choice.

When I load my pistol I drop one in the tube with the slide back, release the slide then insert mag. I never cycle the round from the mag unless its next up when shooting. Good point.
