Funding mj companies used to be profitable to these small specialized funding companies until big banks entered the equation. Isn't it now legal for banks to fund these companies?

It is not legal for banks to fund these companies. They were given guidance by the feds to work with the mmj/rmj industry in states that have legalized, but it is still actually illegal in written federal legislative policy, for banks to do business with them.
