I would guess all these companies were running fairly lean. Keep in mind, it's not like we picked up any large, mature organizations. These new positions are likely created as a result of the mergers. With a completely new company (which I believe we now are), Staff requirements now exist, where they did not when all these Co's were seperate.
Inforit1, it could be that Neomedia's HR policy is to post all job openings. Therefore, they could fill these positions from within (that would include all the employees that are employed by companies recently acquired), or from the outside.
