It would make sense. Think about it. When you have something that might be perceived as bad, you want to release it on a Friday evening, so people can get over it before trading resumes Monday. That's exactly what he did.

It would make perfect sense to follow it up with good news on Monday morning, to keep the focus on the positive as trading opens.
