I opened my individual brokerage account on January 17, 2014. My portfolio has increased by 200% since then. It's hard to put into words how happy I am about that, but it's a good start imo. Keep in mind that I started my trading during the worst week for the markets since 2012.
Not only are the hot picks on this board appealing...the threads back and forth which contain information, charts, news, data, and also opinions on why you are/aren't in favor of a certain stock...that info has helped me learn a ton in ~6 weeks.
