Most if not all of those questions have been addressed in the Company news blogs. If you still have concerns you would do well to address them to IR. They have been very responsive when I have contacted them.
In my opinion it is a company that has been trying to find a niche. I think they have found it and are trying to execute a plan to be a player in this dynamic and fast moving industry. In a dynamic and fast moving industry you must be nimble and be able to adjust to have any chance to make it. Just because something was planned and changed or scrapped does not make it a failure. Also, when you are dependent on another company(ie Apple)you must adapt to changes they make. Several successful companies tried different business plans until they found the one that worked. Many couldn't or didn't adapt and found themselves out of business.
