I don't wear headphones in races as they are typically prohibited. But lots of runners wear them anyways.

WTF? I've run three half-marathons already, and I'm training for a full one this summer.

Every time I go running, I need to listen to music. Otherwise I can't run very far.

Only when I start qualifying for the Boston marathon will I consider ditching the headphones or earphones.
