Cant sleep after the little one needed a bottle, so I ran the numbers again with some slight changes.

Assuming you created a basket of equal $ amount and bought at the opening price on Jan 5th. Setup a trailing stoploss of 10% below your purchase price that was raised each time the closing price * .9 was greater than the previous stop level, You sold when the stop loss was triggered in Real Time. you would have had a return of 5.2% from 5Jan to 4Feb when the last position stopped out. For comparison the QQQ returned negative 0.7 during the same period.

In this more realistic example Monk's Picks beat the index for the same period. - RD
