Most people never understood what the play on CMKX was and most still won't after I tell them, or they simple chose not to believe it. They play on CMKX was not the naked short covering. Before that early on CMKX was trading .0001x.0002 bid ask they announced a 2 for 1 forward split. If you knew or understood CMKX was a diluted POS and naked shorting ruled the day then you knew with patience that if you put your buy order at .0001 they would eventually fill it.
Back then and still now on most trading platforms Etrade you can't not enter more than 4 decimal places on a buy or sell order. ie .0001 Given that put you buy for 10mil shares in at .0001. I did and got filled 10mil shares at .0001 for $1000 took all day to get filled. On the split record date the CMKX closed at .0001 and the shares doubled to 20mil and the price went to .00005. But it couldn't because of the 4 decimal place limit. The I ended up with 20mil shares at .0001 up 100%. They actually gave me 2 mil extra I have no idea why I just called them bonus shares. It only gets better. When the price went to .0002 my $1000 was now $4000 because of the double shares. Like with a lot of fwd splits the stock will run. And like a lot of penny stocks how do they get investors interested in buying?
Let it run so they did. What would be the first logical target .0010. Sounds good to me so CMKX ran punched thru .0010 to about .0012. I started selling shares at .0008 was out of all by .0010 except for the bonus shares. CMKX was a MONSTER of a play. $1000 went to about $22-$24k at the top of the run. I held onto the 2 mil until the height of the feeding frenzy all the bagholders were buying shares right and left. Despite the Billions of shares trading it was hard to get rid of 2 mil shares. I put them on a market order day after day and they never got filled. Called etrade and they said there were orders in front of me. So I pulled the order and one morning called etrade and asked the guy to call the mm on CMKX and see it there were any market orders to sell it. He said no. I asked him to place a market order for me to sell my shares. I then asked his name and told him he had all day to get them sold or I would call the SEC.
