At the last AGM, Mr. Chapin disrespectfully hummed the theme to Jeopardy as Dr. DeCosta launched into a lengthy soliloquy. I have the impression that the board tolerates him as an overly enthusiastic fan, not an associate. I have met Dr. DeCosta and thought him to be a very nice gentleman. We all know that he can be a bit wordy and given to going off on tangents, but are those such serious character flaws that he should be subject to this kind of scathing criticism?
