Personally I own both for the same reasons you stated. My goal when taking the initial position was to get as many shares as possible at a value. At that time FMCC was at a discount. Today with earnings for FMCC the current spread between the two may tighten. There will be a point where they trade very close to each other, maybe even. My advice would be to get as many shares at the best value as you can. FNMA FMCC no real difference at this point. I will say that for the past 9 months I have 70% more FNMA than FMCC just due to company size and my thoughts on release. Good luck.!
