Nobody said radar (of the GPR variety) doesn't work. My point is that it is not the preferred technology that an exploration geologist would immediately think of to use on a project. It would take very specific geological circumstances to warrant its use, and for the company to claim they will use it on "all the GNCP properties" is hype and nonsense.
And no, it cannot detect specific minerals or carbon. It identifies discontinuities.
No it's detecting differences in dialectric content. It is showing you formations, objects or voids. I have not seen a SINGLE reference to it telling you there is gold or silver in a particular location. It's use on the placer mine in Ghana helped because it was able to identify some formation boundaries that were good candidates for gold deposits. In no way does it tell you how much gold there is or if it is even there....other than perhaps a 2 lb nugget...;-)
