I'm with Tecumseh... when you look at how the market treats other growth stocks, such as biopharmaceuticals (which have far greater potential public benefit wrapped up in their deliverable than does Netflix), they are held much more strictly to a P/E ratio that's much closer to the ground than NFLX is... there's really NO LOGIC in it.

NFLX is so far ahead of itself that at some point, even with continued increases in earnings, the market will be content to just let it KEEP the valuation it has awarded it in so far in advance, in which case you get a stock that could trade sideways (or drop some) for a decade.

For the record, I have NO position in it at all, long or short. But at some point this WILL become a fortune-making put. Think back on the tech bubble of 14 years ago...

I have not shorted of "longed" this stock. I have never owned it in any way, shape or form, and the last time I looked at the price of this stock it was in the low 300s. I actually considered buying in the high 200s, and I wish that I did. But this company is not growing, at least at any rate that could justify its current valuation (to say the least).

I am still debating whether or not to short this stock. Obviously my views are clear that it OUGHT to be shorted, but just because it OUGHT to be shorted, does not mean the price will go down on my command (although if you ask me, it absolutely should!), because who knows how many more idiots there are out there that could continue to drive this thing up.

Fortunately, unlike most people, who spend more time picking out which color to paint their shed at Home Depot than which stock(s) to invest their $10,000 of savings in, I like to do thorough research.

From what I've learned and read, the future of Netflix is headed south, deep-south, I'm talking "hangin with them gators in the Louisiana bayous" south (not the company itself, but the its valuation. I am not some message board trolling "timberrr" doomsday preacher). That said, I am still looking into it.

And "Jacked", if I do not choose to short this stock after all, GO NETFLIX! I hope the PPS flies to the moon, and hits $10,000 a share! Why not?! I have nothing against you, I just think (know, actually), that this is getting out of hand. Just don't come crying to me in June when it hits $230.
