We are in full agreement that it would be best to use waste for energy rather than crops.
Whatever the wonders of hemp, I know of no evidence that it is better somehow than all other possible crops. It seems to be mainly pushed by those also pushing marijuana but that is a very different subject.
Waste may or may not be cheaper to utilize but it is surely better for the planet and neighborhood.
I can remember diatribes in the past in the financial press against recycling. Somehow we overcame. IMO that was excellent.
