Oh! She is in an existential place of hardship -but certainly has the strength to work thru it. She is getting stronger. Perhaps CUR can eventually turn this form of ALS into a chronic disease that doesn't cause early demise (similar to what was done with HIV). Then people like April can feel free to plan their future again - instead of wondering how hopeful they can allow themselves to be.
