Companies license their technology for others all over the place. They are not stupid enough to think they can corner the 4k set top box market with Nuvola. They would rather take profit margins wherever possible, Amazon, CIAO, Seiki, Best Buy, Samsung, Ingram Micro, Online, Retail Brick & Mortar (TBA).
