I'm with you on that, and not making a big deal of it. The official Gov web site said "delay 2 hours" to the start day, and also said people could telework, or they could even take the day off if it is allowed with their policy/management.

The following was posted on the Government web site late on Thursday evening at 9:40PM:

link: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/snow-dismissal-procedures/status-archives/14/2/13/Open---2-hours-Delayed-Arrival---With-Option-for-Unscheduled-Leave-or-Unscheduled-Telework_596/

------------------------------

Washington, DC, Area
Applies to: February 14, 2014

STATUS: OPEN - 2 HOURS DELAYED ARRIVAL - WITH OPTION FOR UNSCHEDULED LEAVE OR UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK

Federal agencies in the Washington, DC, area are OPEN under 2 hours DELAYED ARRIVAL and employees have the OPTION FOR UNSCHEDULED LEAVE OR UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK.

Employees should plan to arrive for work no more than 2 hours later than they would be expected to arrive.

------------------------------

If you click on the link to the site, the info stated there goes on to explain that some may telework, some may take the day off if allowed, etc..

At the bottom of the page shows the time of the post (Posted on February 13, 2014 at 9:40 PM). Which would be late at night on Thursday.

I'm assuming FDA people all have lives and families and that just like any of us, in the case of a huge storm, that they have to scramble for daycare for kids, arrange other modes of transportation, etc.

If they had 10 things to do on Friday, its not too far out of the realm to expect that they only got 5 of them, or 7 of them done. It's not too far out to expect that a few things that they had scheduled would have to be pushed back a day or two.

I have no idea when / if the FDA ever contacted CHTP on Friday. I do know that CHTP put out a statement earlier in the day that they had not received any word about the PDUFA. I don't know enough about the exact schedule of the FDA on Friday, and the process involved on the day of the PDUFA.

I don't know if they just didn't get to it, or if they thought they would have time, but decided at the last minute, "Heck, it's getting late and its Valentine's Day - let's all go be with loved ones" and just figure lets deal with it on Tuesday.

When the world revolves around me, I'd like status updates every 15 minutes. But the world has its own pace, and I'm ok with that. No biggie.

Best of Luck to all.

Interesting...However, I zeroed in on the word LEADING before the sentence to an office closure. Which could mean, they were in meeting but had to leave early. the timing of notification to CHTP indicates they waited till late in day to notify CHTP which indicates to me that they just could not complete the proceedings.

Now, two rejections and one approval were issued that Friday? I was under the impression that the proceedings would be similar to a hearing where everyone is convened, the decision is reviewed one final time and then faxed after signature.

I did not know this happened across multiple offices with basically, the decision making signature rounds...

Anyway, My money is on approval with label and further study.
