There is only 1, Plastic2oil company, JBII, the rest are copy cat knock offs

So why aren't they a founding member of this group???

The American Chemistry Council (ACC) has formed a new group within its Plastics Division that will work to enhance public policy in support of technologies that convert non-recycled plastics into petroleum-based products. According to ACC, the new Plastics-to-Oil Technologies Alliance will work to increase awareness of the benefits of plastics-to-oil technologies, enhance the industry’s voice through expanded membership, and demonstrate broad support for plastics-to-oil technologies through an expanding network of allies. Founding members of the group include Agilyx Corp., Cynar Plc, and RES Polyflow. Membership is open to entities that develop and implement technologies to convert non-recycled plastics into petroleum and petroleum-based products. “Plastics-to-oil technologies are a promising solution for repurposing used plastics that would otherwise end up in a landfill,” says Jon Angin, Vice President of Business Development at Agilyx and Chairman of the Plastics-to-Oil Technologies Alliance. “The technologies becoming available now are poised to take advantage of an abundant, domestic alternative energy source, while helping to reduce waste.”

Any chance they'll even apply for membership?

Good feedback and there are other "competitors" out there too. I viewed Envion to have something similar to JBI because the processor looked professional and presentable like JBI's but if you read the below story Envion was more so selling investors than selling fuel.

West Palm Beach-based Envion, had offered the prospect of taking scraps of plastic waste, originally manufactured from oil, and converting the stuff back into oil for use as a fuel source.

Link to a YouTube Fox News story on Envion that shows the processor in action

RES Polyflow Concludes Successful Scale-Up Campaign of Continuously Fed Waste Plastic-To-Oil Conversion Technology

http://www.respolyflow.com/2013/10/res-polyflow-concludes-successful-scale-up-campaign-of-continuously-fed-waste-plastic-to-oil-conversion-technology/

Akron, Ohio / October 2, 2013 – Akron, Ohio based RES Polyflow announced today that the scale-up campaign for the company’s patented energy recovery technology has successfully concluded with results that meet or exceed company expectations. Supported in part by an Ohio Third Frontier grant, the demonstration campaign conducted throughout the summer of 2013 proved that the company’s waste plastic conversion process is stable and efficient in a full-scale production environment and that all material inputs and outputs are able to be managed on a continuous process basis.

RES Polyflow CEO Jay Schabel stated, “The RES Polyflow team has a rich history of achieving the goals set before them in proving out the technology through the classical steps to commercialization. We prove our capability with our results and are now excited to construct our first continuous operation plant with profitability at the forefront. As we achieve this critical milestone we would like to express our sincere appreciation to the Third Frontier program, our operating team and shareholders, and the strategic partners who have been by our side for nearly five years.”

“RES Polyflow is yet another example of how Ohio Third Frontier sparks early-stage companies to be successful and to grow and succeed in Ohio,” said David Goodman, director of the Ohio Development Services Agency and chairman of the Ohio Third Frontier Commission.

The company intends to pursue various avenues of next-stage growth, including the possibility of converting the Perry, Ohio demonstration site into a fully operational production facility over the next 12 months. A number of independent plant owner/operators attended the summer demonstrations and are now in negotiation with RES Polyflow to license the technology for implementation in North America and overseas. The company previously announced a joint venture agreement with a Las Vegas NV based group under the name ENRETEC to commercialize the technology in specific western US markets.

About RES Polyflow

RES Polyflow designs, markets and manufactures energy recovery systems that offer an end of life solution for mixed plastic and rubber waste including tires, carpeting and e-waste. Normally these materials are discarded in landfills, incinerated or exported overseas. RES Polyflow’s continuous feed process equipment converts these items into renewable transportation fuels, octane enhancers and aromatics using a patented waste to energy conversion process. In 2011 the company received a State of Ohio Third Frontier Advanced Energy Program grant to demonstrate the RES Polyflow process at scale. For additional information, go to www.respolyflow.com.

"RES Polyflow has patented its process of pyrolysis in the United States and 17 other nations, which is important because although pyrolysis isn’t new to the industry, the company’s process is unique. That’s because no extra labor is involved of isolating the rubbers or plastics from everything else, said both Dungan and RES Polyflow President Jay Schabel.

For example, the vessel can take a jar of peanut butter without someone or some machine cleaning out its contents."

Vadxx Energy closes financing for first commercial plant to turn plastic waste into energy

http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20140110/FREE/140119974

January 10, 2014

Vadxx Energy said it has closed on financing for its first commercial-scale plant to turn plastic waste into energy.

Vadxx said Liberation Capital, a private equity firm, has entered into an agreement with Vadxx to fund the first unit and additional commercial units. However, the company did not disclose details about the amount of money Liberation is putting behind the effort.

Vadxx said Rockwell Automation is the procurement and construction contractor and will manufacture and commission the plant.

The company said the first unit will be built in Akron and is scheduled to come on line in early 2015. Vadxx said the regional operation will recycle almost 60 tons per day of waste plastics, diverting them from landfill disposal.

Vadxx has operated a 1/50th scale pilot plant for several years. The company said it has received support from Northeast Ohio economic development entities and the state of Ohio.

"Vadxx is focused on implementing our first commercial unit in Akron successfully as an important first step toward global expansion,” said Jim Garrett, Vadxx CEO. “Liberation Capital, Rockwell Automation, feedstock suppliers, and other partners will play key roles in our growth and success.”
