I used to work in that area in the oil field. The best way to find out if anything is going on is to call the service companies. They maintain all kinds of info on who owns what wells and who has leases. Also, the Texas Railroad Commission maintains a database of well ownership and status. The info is out there, if you know where to look and whom to ask.

I'm stuck here with 1's. If something happens, cool. If nothing, then I'm out $40. I didn't have a big position in this thing anyway.
