Bomart2: A large portion of the money went to buying my wife an E320. Keeping her happy is my main priority. That way, she doesn't complain when I go on my travels. Other portions went into paying short term taxes, traveling around the US, and other investments. I continue to play some pennies, but most of my money is tied up in stocks that I do not want to sell right now. I suggest you add STJ to your long term portfolio. Right now is a great buying opportunity.
I am just getting to respond to you because I flew to Miami for a few days to celebrate a friend's birthday party and then I went to DC to hang out last weekend. I'll be in Milwaukee this weekend to visit friends and in Charlotte the following weekend for the CIAA basketball tournament. Then I will be back in Miami in mid-March for a wedding. I live in MN. All of these trips are courtesy of penny plays.
Overall, I am not using my last "pennies" on penny plays. I am just trying to gain more money for future splurging. Oh yeah, I'm going to the Superbowl next year too, thanks to penny plays.
