One can only guess why they decided on a post-market Friday PR to announce bad news...

OK, I'll hazard one after first noting that there are disputes over the meaning/import of the news. The three claims are:

The news is good, it's neutral, it's bad.

So my guess is that HAWK knew that is exactly how interpretations of the news would break down, and consequently they thought it wise to not subject trading to the easily predictable misinterpretations of the meaning of the news.

(And while they didn't need to read this board for their understanding of human nature, it certainly would have reinforced that understanding and the wisdom of their choice.)

The weakest choice is that it's bad news. For all anyone knows something bad has happend within Trump, business or management related, that has made the deal less attractive to Hawk. Possible.

Perhaps it's scandalous and Hawk has wisely chosen to remain silent and in fact leave the door open if circumstances change.

The fact that Hawk's line of credit remains intact, not diminsished, is a good thing. So throw out neutral as also a weak interperetation.

Ergo, the news is good!
