For GAWD's sakes. Even China is barely oriented as a Communist government at this point. The SARS regions are generating HUGE profits for them.

They are just trying to control a burgeoning population and all the problems that come with that.

There is a HUGE difference between the old Soviet Union and China. Underneath it all, China has always been a free market economy. You can see that clearly in the market place.
