#15256 RE: Guts #15255

Exactly. The problem with the majority of retail investors like us, is we lose patience and generally always sell at the wrong time, near the bottom. Like everyone, I battle these demons all the time. But when I get those urges, I take a deep breath, re-analyze the due diligence that led me to invest in a company. If it still appears that all systems are green, I will continue to exercise the most difficult practice of sitting tight.

As Peter Lynch said,

"Often, there is no correlation between the success of a company's operations and the success of its stock over a few months or even a few years. In the long term, there is a 100 percent correlation between the success of the company and the success of its stock. This disparity is the key to making money; it pays to be patient, and to own successful companies."

Probably more fitting for this week's price action is another one of his quotes: "The key to making money in stocks is not to get scared out of them."

Good luck to all the loyal and patient longs...we will all be handsomely rewarded!
